[0.0s] Buzzard, you're holding in your hand the spool of thread that reacted when the false [13.8s] entrance appeared. [16.7s] But it started reacting again and not spinning in the same way it was, but in fact it unspools [22.4s] itself. [23.4s] about a foot or two, it's not pointing to the location where you had entered this portion [30.7s] of the archives, if that's what it was, but it's pointing beyond the city, more in [36.4s] line with where the map that Alistair had rubbed out while you were in there. [43.2s] Don't say it like that! [45.0s] I already did. [46.0s] No, continue to say it like that please. [47.0s] You already did it. [48.0s] No way to edit. [49.0s] No way to edit it. [50.0s] No way to edit it. [51.0s] He rubbed it out. [52.0s] Well, great job, Alistair. [53.0s] Now this thread is pointing in that direction. [55.9s] Okay, awesome. [58.2s] Dumbgeons and Dragons is a D&D actual play podcast, and I'm your dungeon master Russ [63.1s] Moore, he him. [64.7s] Also with me today is Carla Maxstead as Bonwyn Everbane, she her. [68.7s] We were only gone for a night, right? [71.3s] Tom Laird as Kavlaran Goldweave, he him. [74.2s] I'm thinking maybe the Skewer Trio? [76.1s] And Kyle Claset as Bizard the Wizard, he him. [79.2s] No. [80.2s] I'll come with you. [81.6s] Dumbgeons and Dragons is a Patreon-supported show, which means it's funded by people [86.1s] who saw what we do and said, yes, more of that. [90.2s] And you can too at patreon.com slash dumb dragon cast. [93.9s] We hope to see you over there and now fuck it, let's play! [99.7s] I know the spool floats, so I'm gonna go ahead and let it do that and take the [103.4s] thread that's like hanging there and I'm gonna start winding it around an ink pen [109.3s] that I have out of my out of my bag. [111.6s] So just kind of like creating my own spool of it and seeing if the spool moves on [116.3s] its own. Or what is what is the lead here? [120.3s] The foot or two is actually it's no longer it's not hanging, it's extended out [126.0s] and holding position like it's pointing in a direction. [131.4s] You can try to wrap it if that's what you want to do. [135.6s] As you do, you wrap it around your ink pen and it clips your finger, like wraps [140.9s] around your finger once and as it does, you get this fleeting vision. [148.8s] You're all at once somewhere else, you see before you a stone door without [155.3s] hinges, you see words carved and scratched out, you can't quite make out [160.9s] what they say, and you see a shadow standing on the opposite side of the [166.0s] entrance. As it slips from your finger, you're suddenly back in front of City Hall. [173.0s] I kind of like instinctively reach out and like grab up the string in the spool [177.4s] and like stumble backwards. [179.0s] It's like, OK, um. [185.8s] So I just let's let's go ahead and go get ready for dinner. [194.8s] And I had this interesting tale to tell you about a dinner I had recently. [202.5s] But we should do it away from here, since you're done working, Gav, we [207.1s] don't need to be here anymore. [209.4s] No, we do not. [211.4s] OK, so you good? [215.0s] Yeah, away we go. [217.3s] Good. I'm I'm good. [221.4s] Yeah, I just kind of kind of start like walking away a little bit like [225.6s] days, but I know where I'm going and I'm going back to my shop. [231.5s] Oh, my God, you're going to be your pirate dad. [233.9s] No, I hope no. [236.2s] I'll be on a date night or something. [237.5s] Maybe they're going to be at the cave. [240.5s] Yeah. Oh, God, that's going to be awkward as fuck. [243.0s] No, they're going to. [244.2s] It's no, they're at the cave. [246.7s] You're going to cave. [247.8s] Yeah, the cave, the spot where the old people make out. [250.6s] Dope. Yeah. [257.4s] OK, you're going back to Magic Closet. [259.9s] I mean, I'm going to I'm going to start walking that way just instinctively. [265.4s] And I'm kind of going to be rambling like under my breath, [268.1s] like it's a stone door and like rambling a little bit about what I saw [273.9s] and then like turning around as if I'm still kind of in the scene, [277.6s] like trying to relive it, like my eyes are closed while I'm walking. [281.9s] And then I turn around and I turn back [284.5s] and I kind of like trace out the doorway that I've seen. [287.8s] I'm very much in my own head, just like. [291.0s] Completely detached. [292.3s] What are Bonwyn and Cav doing behind Bazaar? [294.9s] I guess maybe just watching him walk away. [297.2s] I mean, because I I asked if he was good. [299.4s] He said yes. He's definitely acting weird. Yeah. [304.0s] And we need to get back to the other side of the bridge. [307.6s] So I guess I'm going to follow him and like walk with him, [311.2s] especially because he seems a bit out of it. [312.8s] But we are obviously on like the noble side because we were at City Hall. [316.7s] So we need to get back where we're going. [319.7s] So, yeah, yeah. [322.5s] Bazaar, I'm going to I'm going to come with you [324.4s] because I'm going to go back to the hop lock and get ready for dinner. [328.7s] Yeah, I'll head I'll head back to the Divorced Dad Motel. [332.4s] Perfect. Yeah. [333.2s] And then I'll meet you guys at Cade. [335.9s] Ask Steve if Shelly is letting him see the kids enough [339.3s] because I'm worried. Oh, I can answer that for you. [341.3s] She is not. OK. Yeah. [343.4s] Is that for the best, do you think? [346.6s] I don't know. [347.4s] I mean, maybe that'll change when he, you know, puts in a little effort. [350.5s] Bad decisions. Yeah. Yeah. OK. [353.0s] Shelly doorway, Steve, kids. [356.4s] Oh, no, we're jumbling them up. [359.0s] Dinner, caves. [362.0s] Cave, cave restaurant, not. [366.3s] Why don't should I come with you? [368.2s] Are you going to get changed? Oh, no. [373.1s] I'll come with you. We should both go. [375.0s] Let's both go. Yeah. [376.6s] You come with me. [377.6s] Let's all go to my place and get ready together. Love it. [380.5s] Oh, it'll be so fun. I love that. [383.8s] OK, come on. Yeah. [385.2s] Everybody I follow them walks. [387.2s] Yeah, I'm going to maybe like link an arm with them. [389.1s] Yeah, I'm worried about him. [390.2s] He is he is the smartest of us and he is unclear. [393.0s] There's something happening. Yeah. [394.8s] Yeah. He is rattled. [396.8s] As you're all walking. [398.7s] Bazaar, give me an insight role. [403.6s] OK. [406.5s] All right, that's going to be an 18. [409.9s] You're replaying this vision that you had over and over again in your head. [415.9s] The the spool itself hasn't extended any further. [420.4s] The same foot to feet in that vicinity of thread is like locked on this location, [427.5s] which doesn't move very much because you're at a distance of perhaps where it's pointing. [432.7s] But like it's still holding its position if you if you if you bring it out in front of acting, [439.1s] acting as a true north in some way. [441.0s] Correct. [443.0s] As you're replaying this vision over and over and you're kind of talking it through, [447.5s] mumbled out loud, Bonwyn and Cav concerned, looking at you, you start to. [456.1s] Make some inferences about some of the things that you've that you've been seeing. [462.8s] A takeaway that you draw is that based on what you're seeing, [467.4s] the Weeping Archive can be reached. [471.8s] But also based on what you're seeing, knowing that there were three lines in the map, [478.2s] knowing that only one of them was up. [481.6s] Some of the strange things that Cav said and the form that was filled out, [486.8s] you feel that the Weeping Archive can be reached, but perhaps only briefly. [492.8s] And without the spool, the entrance may not stay put. [501.6s] You don't have the sense that the spool is a key, [506.0s] but appears to be creating some stability for the actual entrance. [514.6s] It's in and out and the spool, it's stitching, it's stitching itself to the, where are we? [526.9s] We're just about the hotplot. [528.6s] We're going to get ready for dinner together, have a drink, you know. [533.2s] It's stitching itself to the world, I think. [537.8s] Yeah. [540.2s] Let's go get ready. [542.4s] OK. [543.7s] I have ideas, I don't, I'll explain. [547.0s] OK. [549.7s] You all walk into Everbane's. [552.1s] It's Thane's day off. [553.5s] He's not there. [555.8s] You go in and Bonwyn, as you go in, you kind of open some of the curtains, [563.6s] let some light in. [565.0s] Just give me a perception roll with advantage. [571.8s] Just Bonwyn? [572.5s] Just Bonwyn. [573.1s] Nine. [574.6s] You sense something different about the space, which draws you, [583.1s] like you start to see if there's tools out of place or anything missing. [589.7s] It draws you over to the forge. [592.1s] Make an investigation roll once you're over there. [596.3s] Guys, there's something weird in here. [598.3s] So maybe just like don't touch anything for a minute. [603.8s] OK. [604.7s] Yeah. [605.2s] 21. [606.9s] You cautiously walk over to the forge. [611.9s] And the sensation you got as you walked in is very apparent [617.1s] now that you're in this location. [619.2s] You look down and there are old tool marks on the forge [625.0s] that don't match your hand. [627.2s] Don't match your work. [629.7s] You see hammer blows that look corrected in a way. [635.4s] A section of stone that has been reworked repeatedly, [640.0s] which looks to you and your eye, your stone cutting, generations apart. [646.8s] And you lay your hand on it and you feel heat coming from it, [652.0s] but not fire specifically. [654.8s] There's this pressure building up inside the forge. [659.1s] OK, there's something wrong with the forge. [661.5s] Again, but different. [664.2s] This is... [667.1s] Come look. [668.1s] OK, these marks, these are not me. [671.4s] Well, who would have made them then? [673.4s] I don't know, but look at the difference here. [675.5s] Well, it's hard to explain, but I can tell that this is really old [679.6s] and this is newer and something is not right. [683.7s] The more you examine them, you see a maker's mark [688.8s] that you don't recognize. [691.2s] Someone's used my forge? [696.8s] We were only gone for a night, right? [699.6s] Well, I mean, we never did specifically get told [703.4s] that it was the next day. [705.6s] Yeah, it was just night and then morning. [708.3s] But see this, this is not me. [710.2s] This is... [711.7s] I don't know who this is. [712.6s] Bazaar and Kav also roll Investigation. [716.1s] Mm-hmm. [718.9s] That's a dirty 20. [720.0s] Whoa, not 20. [721.5s] Oh, damn. [723.6s] The two of you look, and Bonwyn, perhaps you are distressed [728.4s] or severely distracted by this thing [732.4s] that you found inside of your forge. [736.8s] The two of you, Kav, for perhaps the first time in several days, [743.3s] like something clicked with you immediately. [746.5s] Like this mark that Bonwyn just pointed out [750.4s] was the same mark that you recognized [753.9s] that was present on some of the stone books [757.6s] and on the false entrance. [760.2s] Bazaar, do you also start to recognize it [762.6s] from similar locations? [764.9s] And also, as you pull out the map, [767.2s] like there's the diagram that was created. [771.7s] It appears down in the corner of this, [774.8s] just kind of like half there [777.1s] because it wasn't part of the immediate map. [784.1s] This is the thing we saw in the archive, right? [789.2s] And in a few other places? [791.5s] Mm-hmm. [795.2s] Really? [797.6s] Yeah. [799.6s] What does that mean? [803.3s] Oh, was this a portal? [806.0s] I mean, they did it, there was a deity. [809.1s] So, okay. [814.2s] The thread wrapped around my finger and I saw a door. [819.6s] Okay. [820.8s] And a shadow standing behind me. [825.4s] Okay. [826.2s] And the Weeping Archive is, [832.5s] we're able to reach it. [836.2s] And somehow this is keeping those doors [844.9s] or those entryways stitched to our world, [850.4s] is my guess. [855.6s] Huh. [857.1s] Because this was floating towards Lingersville. [863.4s] In fact, it's still pointing [865.8s] in that general direction, I believe. [868.2s] I mean, we should probably go to Lingersville [870.9s] and check it out, right? [873.7s] Yeah, yeah, I mean, we'll get more info [875.6s] from Oak at dinner and kind of figure out [880.0s] what we need to bring with us. [882.2s] So the door had symbols on it. [887.6s] Your forge has a symbol from the door on it. [891.7s] The door was a fake door. [894.5s] There are potential other doors. [900.4s] Maybe it's a passphrase. [904.3s] Hmm. [905.3s] Did the map, we've been in one door. [908.5s] Yeah. [909.4s] The map has given us a symbol. [912.0s] Maybe there's more than one test. [915.2s] Well, there probably is. [916.4s] Okay, so we'll, like, let's obviously make note of this [921.8s] and maybe we need it. [924.4s] I don't like the idea of my forge being connected [929.6s] to anything other than the huge things [931.6s] it's already connected to. [932.9s] Right, it's already got a lot going on. [934.6s] Indeed. [935.8s] Yeah. [936.6s] What if that's why it's connected? [938.4s] Oh. [940.0s] Oh. [941.4s] Because there's, like, a thinness there. [944.6s] Yeah, it's worn away by a connection between two realms. [948.2s] Right. [950.1s] Well, somehow that makes me kind of feel better, [953.8s] I guess, because it makes sense. [955.4s] Like, that because, [960.6s] yeah, I've communicated with, like, [963.6s] the other side there would be. [967.4s] Yeah. [968.2s] Which- [969.1s] There would at least be, like, [970.9s] residue or, like, a pathway had been established, so. [974.8s] Yeah. [975.6s] Yeah, there's, like, a thinness between the realms. [979.1s] Which also lines up with the, I guess, [982.8s] maybe almost like a ley line [984.4s] that's going up into the mountains [986.2s] connecting to that portal up there [987.7s] that does have some similarities [990.4s] to both the Fae and the Fi. [993.9s] Right. [994.8s] So. [996.0s] And it's. [997.3s] Maybe, oh. [999.4s] Do we need to go through that portal? [1002.1s] Oh. [1003.0s] We might have to go through the portal. [1004.8s] That's the closest one, [1006.2s] and it's one we haven't been through, [1007.6s] but it's not lit up, so maybe we have closed it down. [1011.6s] Yeah. [1012.5s] My bad. [1013.4s] Okay, well, we've got a fun dinner to attend. [1018.8s] Yeah. [1019.9s] So, Bazaar, you can probably borrow [1022.4s] something of Thane's that he's left here [1024.0s] if you want to change into something fancier, [1026.7s] or you look great as you are. [1028.6s] Up to you. [1029.6s] We should all maybe get, [1032.0s] just brush some of the rubble off of us. [1035.2s] We are still a little bit dusty for cave. [1037.8s] Indeed. [1038.7s] Yeah, good call. [1042.2s] Welcome to the middle, everybody. [1043.5s] Oh, the middle. [1044.5s] Thanks for being here. [1045.9s] Thank God we're here. [1047.0s] Just finding myself here now. [1048.7s] You know, sometimes you just stumble into it, [1050.9s] and it's full of great people, [1053.3s] just like you, dear listener. [1057.0s] Oh, absolutely. [1059.1s] Yes. [1059.9s] Think of how many people are listening [1061.2s] at the same time right now. [1062.8s] Well, we're only talking to one. [1065.7s] It's true. [1066.8s] Ever. [1067.7s] We're only ever talking to one. [1069.1s] Just one? [1070.4s] That's how the magic of radio works. [1072.6s] Damn. [1074.0s] So if you talk to all of them, [1075.1s] you alienate every single one of them. [1077.1s] Is that what's going on in my classroom? [1079.6s] Yes. [1080.4s] A little different for a teacher. [1082.2s] Oh, God. [1083.1s] I mean, you got the eyes on you, [1084.4s] but in this audio medium, we're in the ears of one, [1087.4s] maybe two tops. [1088.3s] Fair enough. [1089.1s] I love you one listener, two tops. [1090.4s] Oh, yeah, it could be a couple [1091.6s] sharing AirPods or something. [1093.0s] Oh, I love that. [1093.8s] Oh, I love that. [1094.7s] Yeah, yeah, yeah. [1096.5s] That's very sweet. Kyle fixed it. [1098.0s] Yeah, yeah. [1098.8s] So we love you is still applicable. [1104.4s] Mm-hmm. [1105.2s] Mm-hmm. [1106.3s] Absolutely it is. [1109.5s] We got shirts. [1110.9s] Oh, wow. [1112.0s] Talk about them. [1113.2s] Sometimes Russ says something, [1115.0s] and you couldn't have guessed. [1116.1s] No, I would have never. [1117.2s] Yes, that's what he was gonna say. [1118.0s] Never imagined. [1118.9s] And there it is. [1119.7s] Yep. [1120.6s] We do have shirts. [1121.4s] Yes. [1122.2s] Individually, which we are wearing now, [1124.1s] and as a podcast, [1125.5s] which I think is probably what he meant. [1127.5s] I'm wearing a podcast shirt right now. [1130.4s] Wow. [1131.2s] Well, yeah. [1132.7s] What? [1134.5s] That's awesome. [1135.4s] Where do we find said shirts, though? [1138.3s] I mean, I know where we find them. [1140.5s] Oh, in our drawers, if we're just being. [1143.4s] That's right, you got it. [1144.4s] You were on the right track there. [1146.1s] But is it like, is it the dashery.com slash dumbdragons? [1149.2s] Dumbdragons.com, or dumbdragons.dashery.com. [1152.9s] Oh, there we go. [1153.7s] So close, yeah. [1154.6s] I had all the right words just in the wrong order. [1156.2s] Yeah, it's the slash, it's trying to brand it, [1158.8s] and all that sort of stuff. [1159.7s] You know what, I bet there's a place [1161.4s] that's easier to find like all of our stuff. [1163.4s] They're just one stop, go there, [1166.1s] and it'll take you everywhere related to us. [1169.2s] Yeah. [1170.1s] You know, all the stuff. [1170.9s] There is. [1171.8s] It's our website, actually. [1173.7s] It is our website. [1175.0s] Which doesn't, it's a work in progress. [1177.9s] Well, it has all you need. [1181.6s] Well, no, because I'm saying that we have a special person [1184.4s] that we need to say thank you to. [1187.1s] It's a work in progress, but it has all you need. [1192.8s] I'm focusing towards the Patreon right now. [1195.2s] Yeah, I know. [1196.0s] Straight out of Russ's wedding vows. [1198.1s] Oh god. [1199.0s] Oh my god, sorry. [1204.4s] Sorry, Kyle, what were you saying? [1205.5s] Yeah, Kyle. [1206.3s] Kyle's trying to get us on track. [1207.6s] I was just saying you could probably find [1209.3s] a lot of our cool stuff over at Patreon [1211.6s] where you can see extra content, [1213.3s] definitely links to where our merch is, [1216.6s] other shows and games that we play, [1220.4s] and also you can join up on the Discord. [1223.4s] But one of the cool things. [1224.3s] And the newsletter. [1225.3s] And the newsletter, that's absolutely right. [1226.8s] Jess puts together a ball and newsletter. [1228.8s] Really is, shout out to Jess on that. [1231.0s] That thing always looks great. [1232.4s] So one of the big, big upsides of joining the Patreon [1237.5s] is having an episode dedicated to you. [1240.3s] And this episode's dedicatee. [1243.3s] No, we're the dedicators. [1244.5s] They're the dedicatee. [1245.7s] But I don't know their name, Russ. [1246.7s] Who is it? [1247.6s] It's Travis Richardson. [1250.1s] Thanks, Travis. [1251.0s] Thanks, Travis. [1252.8s] Thank you so much. [1253.6s] Thanks, Travis. [1254.6s] Do you go by Trav or Travis? [1257.6s] Or this. [1258.7s] Maybe just drop the S, go by Travi. [1261.4s] Travi's fun. [1262.6s] Or T-Dawg. [1263.6s] T-Money. [1264.8s] T-Money. [1265.6s] Yeah, T-Money. [1266.4s] What's the last name again? [1268.1s] Richardson, Richardson. [1269.6s] Oh, money makes sense. [1271.3s] There we go. [1273.1s] T-Rich. [1274.2s] T-Rich, that's good. [1277.1s] Yeah, there you go. [1277.9s] Well, that's what we call you now. [1279.1s] You could just go with Team Rich. [1280.6s] Of course, T-Rich. [1284.5s] Thank you very much, T-Rich. [1287.4s] I hope all your friends start calling you that too, [1289.4s] because they clearly listen. [1305.6s] Love you, bye. [1306.5s] Love you, bye. [1307.3s] Can you believe we do these in one? [1311.4s] And they're so good. [1312.8s] Just professional. [1313.7s] They're so good. [1314.8s] T-Rich. [1318.1s] You all get ready, and it takes you a little while, [1321.0s] but you make your way to cave at seven o'clock, [1324.8s] right on the nose. [1326.7s] And you see, [1329.6s] you see Oak waiting in line. [1332.9s] It's an extensive line. [1334.8s] He waves at you. [1336.3s] Do I, do we, do we have to stand in the line? [1339.0s] Did you? [1339.9s] No, we, we, we're, we're- [1342.0s] Excuse me, sorry. [1342.8s] We're booked. [1343.6s] I'm gonna, my friends are here. [1345.2s] It's fine. [1346.3s] Get out of the way. [1348.0s] Hi. [1349.0s] It's great to see you, Kav, [1350.5s] and YouTube is art, and Bondwood, [1352.6s] I saw, we saw you earlier. [1354.0s] So we saw you earlier. [1355.8s] We understand. Great to see you. [1357.0s] How was the wedding? [1359.7s] Oh, it was a lot. [1360.8s] Yeah. [1362.0s] It was good, though. [1362.8s] It was good. [1363.6s] Everyone seemed happy. [1364.5s] Okay, well, for the sixth wedding, [1365.3s] you bring me along, [1366.2s] and I'll help wrangle all the things that happened. [1369.4s] I just- Love it. [1370.8s] I wanna take that- It's a date. [1371.6s] Take that off your plate. [1372.6s] Okay, well- [1374.0s] I just wanna go for the drama, honestly. [1376.2s] I know, it does sound like [1378.5s] there's a little bit of messy bitch in me, [1380.7s] and it made me wanna kinda be there [1382.5s] when Kav told us about it. [1384.2s] Fair. [1385.0s] I'd love to see that. [1387.6s] Great, so you guys have a reservation? [1390.2s] We have a reservation, so come on, yeah. [1392.6s] You walk up, and the [1394.9s] Mater D, who you recognize as Cliff Hanger, [1398.7s] he is, he's standing, [1401.2s] do you have, he looks down over his glasses, [1405.2s] you have a reservation, yes? [1408.2s] Cliff, you know me, you know we have a reservation. [1411.2s] Of course, here, let me just pencil you in [1413.8s] underneath this one here, [1415.2s] we'll move some people around, [1416.6s] we'll make sure that you get in, [1418.2s] it's fine, Bonwyn, come on in, [1420.4s] for just one, two, three, [1421.8s] for the four of you, yes? [1423.5s] Yes. No? [1424.4s] Mm-hmm. [1425.2s] Okay, yep, great. [1426.0s] He grabs some menus, takes you back, [1428.7s] and has a seat, and there are three specials [1431.7s] this evening, if you would like to hear those, [1433.3s] I know many people just come for the stalactite meals, [1436.9s] but we have the dripstone delicacy, [1439.8s] which is a slow braised cave goat [1442.1s] in mineral wine reduction, [1444.2s] served over glow root mash. [1448.0s] We have the spelunkers surprise, [1450.6s] stuffed deep cap mushrooms [1452.4s] with spiced lizard sausage and cave cheese, [1456.3s] as well as the under dark skewer trio, [1459.0s] fire roasted blind lizard, crystal beetle, [1462.1s] and cave eel with molten pepper glaze. [1467.6s] Thank you, Cliff. [1468.4s] I'll leave you to think about those, [1470.4s] we'll bring you some drinks around, [1472.2s] enjoy the evening, heads on. [1475.3s] Wow, those all sound great, [1477.3s] I've never been in here, [1478.2s] this place is schwanky, ooh. [1481.0s] It's fancy, isn't it? [1481.9s] This feels nice. [1482.7s] I haven't been here yet either, [1483.8s] it's really nice. [1485.3s] I feel underdressed. [1486.9s] No, you look great, dinner's on us, Oak, [1490.0s] so don't pick what you like. [1492.6s] Yeah, I put on my bestest polo this evening, [1495.2s] I even got the sweater vest for the top [1497.8s] just to make it look quite dapper. [1501.4s] Yeah, thank you, thank you. [1504.2s] Looks like he just kind of clues back in. [1506.0s] Oh, the files! [1507.5s] And he pulls the files out and puts a stack down. [1512.4s] Did you learn some interesting things? [1514.6s] Yes. [1516.0s] Yes, so the two I put on it, they found a few. [1519.5s] Had a feeling there might be more, [1520.9s] so I went down digging, found six more, [1523.5s] so I'm by two, a few, I'm in two. [1526.5s] But I did find several. [1527.3s] That's why you're the best. [1528.7s] Interesting things, there's a lot of redactions [1532.6s] about Lingersville, which feels, [1536.8s] feels odd, but there's some stuff [1539.0s] about the founding in there, [1540.4s] there's some water anomaly incident [1543.2s] that looked like it created some sort of like, [1545.8s] I don't know, psychoses among the people. [1548.5s] Oh. [1549.4s] Yeah, like, I mean, have a read through here, [1553.2s] but there's definitely. [1555.0s] I don't like casualty report is. [1557.8s] Yeah. [1559.6s] Well, maybe it's zero. [1561.9s] Could be, it's redacted, so you're right, you're right. [1566.6s] They don't want no people to know [1567.8s] about good things that happen, I guess. [1570.2s] Definitely connections to Vinter Smith and. [1574.6s] Yeah, I see that, like Herbert Linger [1576.7s] and Terry St. Vinter were, [1579.2s] they started Lingersville together, it looks like, [1581.3s] and then. [1582.1s] Bam, resonant. [1584.3s] That is. What do you mean? [1585.4s] Wasn't that on the form? [1586.8s] That was on the form, Cav, right? [1589.1s] Did they consider it resonant or? [1592.1s] Oh. [1594.6s] Was that something I, am I misremembering? [1597.5s] They were considering something inert. [1600.1s] I mean, it's kind of an antonym. [1605.7s] It's resonant, as in it's still resonating with something, [1609.3s] and that's the town that we need to go to, [1611.0s] that's the one that's lit up. [1614.4s] Yes, yeah. [1615.9s] I didn't know Vinter's mouth was spelled three, [1619.4s] I thought it was all one word. [1623.2s] Early, as they were kind of trying to find themselves, [1626.9s] there was record that they had it split up. [1631.1s] Vin being wine of the region, [1634.9s] there used to be good grapevines that grew here, [1638.9s] and then it was a play on words, [1642.0s] wine your mouth, basically, is what that meant. [1646.4s] Oh! [1647.2s] Yeah. [1648.4s] Oh, okay. [1650.0s] I actually really like that. [1651.3s] Once they stopped making wine, [1652.6s] so quite as regularly, it didn't quite make a sense, [1655.6s] so they just slapped the name together. [1658.0s] Okay, fair enough. [1659.9s] Okay, so everyone moved to a new settlement. [1665.0s] Flingersville's abandoned. [1669.8s] Memory weakens with distance, I mean, that's true. [1673.7s] I mean, that's just memory of actual. [1676.5s] Ghost town. [1679.6s] Reach up the fence, okay. [1683.4s] Uh, Oak, is there a reference of, like, [1688.3s] time that has passed since these events? [1696.0s] Oh, like when it shut down? [1700.2s] Yeah. [1701.6s] Let me see here. [1703.2s] He starts flipping through some pages. [1706.7s] Long story short, is somebody old enough [1708.6s] to have experienced this that we could find? [1711.0s] Oh, probably not. [1713.1s] I think some of the oldest folks in town are, [1718.2s] well, that would have been here for the longest, [1720.2s] or like your family, or at least some of the oldest. [1724.8s] Yeah. [1726.4s] And I mean, that was like, no one, you know, [1729.9s] my dad, my grandpa, great grandpa, [1731.6s] like no one's ever. [1734.2s] What about some of the children [1737.0s] that came back from the fey? [1739.2s] We don't know how long they might have been in there. [1741.3s] Some of them could have been in there. [1742.8s] Oh, wow, that would have been a very long time. [1745.2s] Oh, you think there's. [1746.4s] It's a possibility. [1747.2s] A connection to Lingersville with those kids? [1751.2s] I mean, they're kind of. [1752.0s] Stranger things have happened in the last week, [1753.9s] I guess. [1754.8s] Suppression orders. [1757.2s] Uh-huh. [1758.0s] Prevent critical mass awareness, Kingstown oversight. [1763.3s] Uh-huh. [1764.7s] And also. [1765.5s] Why would Kingstown, oh. [1769.9s] Well, that last page is creepy. [1771.5s] And that note that says lie classified as stabilizing. [1775.2s] Oh, my goodness. [1778.4s] Okay, I mean, I guess we have to go. [1784.1s] You have to go? [1785.8s] Well, what's going on out there? [1788.4s] I don't know. [1789.2s] Yeah, not like we don't have to leave right now, [1791.5s] but we have to. [1792.3s] Oh, yeah, I didn't mean we have to go. [1793.2s] I didn't even get my drinks yet. [1794.8s] Oh, oh, no, no, no, don't be silly. [1797.6s] We're here to enjoy them. [1799.7s] No, no, no, no. [1800.6s] We never do you dirty like that. [1801.4s] Oh, no, of course. [1802.2s] No, thank you for doing all this research. [1804.4s] This is incredible. [1805.5s] I didn't know any of this stuff. [1807.8s] Honestly, I didn't either. [1809.6s] A lot of this is, I mean, shutting it down, [1812.8s] obviously, was a well-known fact, [1814.5s] but a lot of the reasons here, [1815.8s] like, there's a lot that could be [1820.8s] under these redacted pieces, too. [1823.0s] You mentioned the fatalities. [1824.9s] Why would they block that out? [1826.9s] And that's, I mean, neurological distress. [1831.0s] Have we tried just highlighting it [1832.6s] and then changing the writing to white [1835.2s] and see if we can? [1836.0s] Oh, yeah, I don't know if you can do that [1839.1s] with these parchment documents. [1841.6s] Some people don't know how to redact documents properly, [1844.5s] so you can just show just like the red. [1847.1s] Right, yeah, no, that seems like a poor process [1850.4s] that somebody might have. [1851.4s] Yeah, it seems like a bad way of doing things. [1853.3s] It's like you didn't pay for a proper program [1856.2s] to do it. Yeah. [1857.8s] Yeah. Yeah. [1859.9s] The emotional fixation on the lake, [1862.0s] I mean, that would explain the drive [1864.0s] to want to divert the water, [1869.4s] so maybe we need to be looking around the lake [1873.8s] as the source of whatever it was [1876.0s] that was influencing people. Definitely. [1879.1s] The water, I mean, they founded it [1881.9s] because of the water, right? [1883.7s] I mean, it's why it's here. [1886.8s] Yeah, it was like the number one reason. [1889.0s] Yeah, it's typical set up of civilization. [1899.1s] Public explanation, bacterial contamination. [1902.7s] Regulated license. [1903.8s] Who licensed the suppression order? [1911.4s] Oak? Sorry, you asked? [1912.8s] What kind of upward mobility do you have to find out [1917.3s] who may have licensed or filed this? [1922.9s] Oh, I mean, there's no real record on the files. [1927.0s] I could, now that I have the files, [1932.6s] I could go look and see if there's an archival [1935.3s] or a ledger record to see who submitted the records [1938.6s] or who even redacted the records. [1940.7s] That should be something that we find. [1943.3s] Well, unless it's redacted itself, [1944.9s] because that is entirely possible. [1947.2s] Yeah, that wouldn't... [1948.7s] Yeah, but I can certainly take that [1950.9s] and see if I can find something about it. [1953.0s] Maybe. [1955.3s] Fawn one cav, what are y'all's thoughts? [1958.2s] I'm thinking maybe the skewer trio. [1962.3s] Fair, I was thinking the dripstone. [1966.5s] Does sound good, does sound good. [1968.6s] My mind's still on food. [1969.8s] Don't try to fuck with me. [1971.4s] I knew it would be, I knew it would be. [1973.5s] I don't know if I can let you keep the records, [1976.4s] but take whatever copies you need. [1980.0s] I've got notebooks here, [1981.7s] like we can keep as many of the records. [1984.0s] Of course, yeah, you wouldn't be able [1985.4s] to let us keep the real actual records [1987.9s] that you need to go back. [1988.7s] It would also help me try and track down [1990.5s] if we used to have a record [1992.2s] of who submitted and redacted. [1994.0s] Just have somebody make a rub off of one. [1996.7s] I beg your excuse me? [1998.5s] Huh? [2000.3s] Nothing, what are you thinking about eating? [2005.5s] Dumbgeons and Dragons, season four, episode 54.
