[502.6s] You see the figure displacing the smoke around it
[505.6s] as it starts to circle you and get behind you
[508.6s] where the ritual circle was that you ran from.

[743.9s] of the pillar begin to form.

[858.8s] two pillars that you can see
[860.8s] where the shadows are,
[862.8s] you see what they're doing at that
[864.8s] same moment is
[866.8s] dimming, is like
[868.8s] dulling the light.
[870.8s] Even where their hands,
[872.8s] what you could call their shadow hands,
[874.8s] are placed around, you see
[876.8s] fractures beginning to form
[878.8s] on the pillar that they
[880.8s] are touching.
[882.8s] As you see that, you get this
[884.8s] memory begins,
[886.8s] it's not yours, but this memory
[888.8s] begins to
[890.8s] come into view for you.
[892.8s] And these figures,
[894.8s] they look, I mean,
[896.8s] they are dwarven.
[898.8s] They are, appear
[900.8s] to be locked in a very
[902.8s] similar ritual
[904.8s] or battle that you are currently
[906.8s] part of. They are fighting off
[908.8s] the shadows around you, and you see
[910.8s] one main figure who
[912.8s] is primarily battling
[914.8s] the image of themselves.

[918.8s] who this person is, but
[920.8s] there are some similarities
[922.8s] that you see in terms of
[924.8s] familial bloodlines that
[926.8s] perhaps tie back to the
[928.8s] Everpains.

[984.8s] the actual ritual itself.

[3912.8s] You grasp the shadow
[3914.8s] which is like wildly flailing
[3916.8s] at you with this dagger but you get
[3918.8s] inside of that and
[3920.8s] embrace it and you feel
[3922.8s] the shadow begin to merge
[3924.8s] with you. Everybody around you sees
[3926.8s] this as well. If you
[3928.8s] have the capacity
[3930.8s] to actually see it.
[3932.8s] Some of us are a little busy.
[3934.8s] You feel it move through you
[3936.8s] and there's this warmth that comes from
[3938.8s] it and as you
[3940.8s] are like now hugging
[3942.8s] yourself essentially
[3944.8s] the shadow begins to extend.
[3946.8s] Your own shadow begins to extend
[3948.8s] in the light as normal.
[3952.8s] You feel yourself
[3954.8s] begin to glow and
[3956.8s] the room
[3958.8s] around you begins to
[3960.8s] disappear
[3962.8s] again into a new memory.
[3964.8s] And you see
[3966.8s] Malin at the
[3968.8s] forge one more time.
[3970.8s] And she's smiling faintly.
[3972.8s] And she turns
[3974.8s] and she looks at you.
[3976.8s] Which she hasn't done yet.
[3978.8s] Everything
[3980.8s] is quiet except for the crackle
[3982.8s] of the fire.
[3984.8s] And she holds a small
[3986.8s] ember.
[3988.8s] And she looks up
[3990.8s] now not at you but
[3992.8s] through you. And she says
[3994.8s] tell her the fire
[3996.8s] was always hers.
[4000.8s] As she herself begins to
[4002.8s] fall apart into ash
[4004.8s] on the ground.
[4010.8s] That memory begins to fade and everything
[4012.8s] else comes back and the wind begins
[4014.8s] to pick
[4016.8s] up and it gets echoing and you
[4018.8s] hear this pressurized scream that echoes
[4020.8s] out through the entire space.
[4022.8s] You hear rumbling
[4024.8s] in the walls beyond
[4026.8s] the smoke that you can't see
[4028.8s] through.
[4030.8s] The hearth begins to
[4032.8s] burn now with this golden
[4034.8s] violet flame.
[4036.8s] And the forge begins to
[4038.8s] glow and emanate into the
[4040.8s] space which causes all of the shadows
[4042.8s] to let out
[4044.8s] the same scream as they are
[4046.8s] blasted into the smoke and
[4048.8s] churned up. They are
[4050.8s] now away. Everybody's on their
[4052.8s] own pillar around
[4054.8s] you as the sigils in the ground
[4056.8s] begin to form.
[4058.8s] You
[4060.8s] see one last time this
[4062.8s] entity, this weeping
[4064.8s] woman
[4066.8s] and you hear
[4068.8s] maybe it's her voice,
[4070.8s] maybe it's something else, but a voice
[4072.8s] murmur in your head
[4074.8s] and she says
[4076.8s] she bled, you bled.
[4078.8s] The fire
[4080.8s] remembers both.
[4082.8s] And there's this explosion
[4084.8s] that comes, this more
[4086.8s] sound than damaging
[4088.8s] force that comes from the fire.
[4090.8s] And the smoke begins to
[4092.8s] fill in the ritual circle
[4094.8s] and cover around everybody
[4096.8s] else. And that lasts
[4098.8s] for a moment
[4100.8s] perceived too long
[4102.8s] until
[4104.8s] there's a silence and everything
[4106.8s] disperses.
[4108.8s] The cracks on the floor
[4110.8s] are no longer there, the blood that was
[4112.8s] there, except for a few spots
[4114.8s] that you placed yourself around
[4116.8s] has disappeared.
[4118.8s] And the fire still glows
[4120.8s] this golden violet flame
[4122.8s] that you can feel
[4124.8s] on you as you move towards
[4126.8s] it.
[4128.8s] Everybody else
[4130.8s] you look around
[4132.8s] and in this moment of quiet
[4134.8s] the forge
[4136.8s] looks as though it did
[4138.8s] at the beginning of the ritual.
[4140.8s] You quickly look down and your
[4142.8s] shadows are where they should be.
[4146.8s] Everything appears
[4148.8s] calm.
[4152.8s] Step on my shadow.
[4154.8s] Okay.
[4156.8s] Poke it with a stick.
[4158.8s] I shuffle my feet, see if it moves with me.
